Finally July is over - and for me that means abondoning my sewing machine for sime weeks and letting new ideas blowing through my mind on top of the Asturian mountains!HOLIDAYS!!!!
But I don´t want you to go away empty-handed:
So here I leave some pictures of this very special and last work of this month.
I cooperated with a fantastic Sevillian artist called Maria del Mar Camacho - she is a silk painter and we made this dress together.
The bride is enamored of the sea- so Maria painted a soft and abstract sea-landscape in light blue and turquois and combined her painting with a poem of Rayuela in gold to finish this artwork.
So than I used a Chantilly lace that matched perfectly with Marias paintings and sew some cut out pieces of this lace all over the dress.
The used material is 100% silk, also the airy butterfly sleeves.
In the back the dress has a closure of covered bottons.
And to lift the downer part of the dress a little up, I made a petticoat out of pleated organza.
This is a dream!!!! We are all in love with this very special wedding dress and hopefully Maria and me will cooperate more often!
Enjoy the pictures!
and here some details:
oh - nearly I forgot:
The sweet, 6 years old daughter of the bride also wanted to be dressed up : so I made this cute little dress for her and I really enjoyed it!!!
Maybe I should make more clothes for kids ;)!
